Yes, it will support the 80 x 96 acoustic panel and even the 120 in long studio blankets, but the heavier the blanket, the more gentle you need to be sliding the blankets on the tracks. More weight puts more pressure on the rollers and make it harder to roll

This is a very common question and the solution depends on your room and your set up. Probably the best option is to create adouble wall with blankets around your drum set. and if you want the room to be available then use blankets with ceiling track kit. Even better
